No rest for the weary! All of my other state-specific newsletters are wrapping up for 2022, but apparently this one is just getting started!
The Georgia Senate runoff will happen on December 7th, 2022.
Three things:
Instead of barraging you with a long list of ways to help, I’ve put them all into a google doc, which I will update regularly. So find them all here (note, this is a new doc and not to be confused with the GA one we’ve been using all year). Please sign up to text, phonebank, and/or write postcards, and if you have any money throw it at Rev. Warnock or the Movement Voter Fund’s special GA fund (see doc).
Tonight at 5PM PT / 8 PM ET the Center For Common ground is having a midterm review and GA run-off strategy session. They have a strong focus on Southern states, voter suppression, and Black voters, so their expertise in all things Georgia is real. They will go over voter turnout numbers and what they mean, how many voters they called, postcarded, texted and canvassed, and next steps for mobilizing Georgia voters in the runoffs. Sign up here.
