Chop Wood, Carry GA 11/12! ๐
Hi, Team GA!
Below are some immanent Georgia-related fundraisers (one of which Iโll be speaking at) and a GA activist coalition event. If youโre wanting to either give money strategically or get more informed about this election any or all of these will be helpful:
๐ Tomorrow the Center For Common Groundโan organization focussed on helping Black and Brown voters in Southern states overcome voter suppressionโis holding a fundraiser to raise money for critical on-the-ground work happening NOW in GA. They have hundreds of thousands of voters to reach via text, postcard, canvassing, and phone banking, but need money to fund this mobilization. Their goal is to raise $75,000 for their Georgia organizers.ย
Come hear about their work and maybe give them some cash! Sunday, November 13th at 3PM ET. Register here.
๐ Join amazing activist and fundraising group Walk the Walk USA this Tuesday, November 15th at 5:30 pm PT / 8:30 pm ET to learn about their highest priority donor recommendations for winning the Senate race in Georgia. Theyโre great and this event should be informative and excellent.
๐ Flip the Vote is hosting a fundraiser for their grassroots partner the Asian American Advocacy Fund on Wednesday, November 16 at 5:30 pm PT/ 8:30 pm ET. Youโll learn about AAAFโs impactful culturally competent voter engagement efforts. They need to raise $500,000 to fully execute their plan to engage and turn out Democratic Asian American and Pacific Islander voters in Georgia.
You will also be joined by special guest, writer and activist Jess Craven (me!)
Register here. (And/or donate right away here.)
๐ Join Swing Blue Alliance on Wednesday, Nov. 16 at 4PM PT / 7 PM ET to find out how you can help with the Georgia runoff election!
The focus will be on how we can re-elect Senator Raphael Warnock on December 6 and preserve the Democratic majority in the US Senate. Their keynote speaker is Martha Shockey, the co-convener of theย Indivisible Georgia Coalition. This is an organizing, not a fundraising, event. Should be good.
OK. More soon, of course, but I wanted you to be able to make plans to attend some or all of these ASAP.
Have a great Saturday!
Jess
P.S. Iโve been steadily adding to the GA volunteer opportunity doc, so if you havenโt looked at it in the last day or two, please do!
